Spray Plant

Spray Plant is an advanced technique used to enhance the visual and tactile qualities of leather. In this process, skins are passed through an automated system with multiple spray guns that apply chemicals evenly to improve color, texture, and overall appearance.

The skins, after being prepared and treated through earlier stages, are placed on a conveyor belt that moves through the spray plant. This automatic system is equipped with several spray guns mounted to a rotating mechanism. As the leather moves along the conveyor, the guns spray chemicals such as dyes, resins, or finishing agents. These chemicals are applied uniformly across the surface of the leather, ensuring consistent coverage that enhances both the color intensity and the hand feel of the material.

The main advantages of the spray plant process include precise control over the application of finishing products, which results in uniform coloring and improved texture. This method is particularly effective in achieving vibrant, even colors that are crucial for high-end leather goods like luxury bags, shoes, and upholstery. Additionally, the spray treatment also enhances the leather’s surface, giving it a polished, refined finish that improves its optical appeal.

The spray plant is especially beneficial for large-scale production, where consistency and speed are critical. It allows for quick processing of multiple hides at once while ensuring that the color and finish meet exacting standards. This results in reduced labor costs, increased productivity, and high-quality leather ready for further finishing or use in the final product.

Key highlights of the spray plant process include:

  • Automated system with rotating spray guns for uniform chemical application
  • Enhances color consistency, vibrancy, and texture of leather
  • Improves the hand feel and optical appearance of the material
  • Precise control over dye, resin, and finishing agents used
  • Efficient, scalable process ideal for high-volume production
