LEATHER FAIR
Final Selection & Co

Final Selection & QC is the concluding phase of the leather manufacturing process. It ensures that each finished leather piece meets the highest standards of quality and complies with specific customer requirements. This step is critical to maintaining consistency, brand reputation, and overall product satisfaction.

After all mechanical and chemical processes are completed, each hide undergoes thorough visual and tactile inspection. Skilled quality control experts examine the leather for uniformity in color, substance (thickness), softness, and hand feel. Any inconsistencies, such as uneven dye absorption, surface blemishes, or imperfections in grain, are carefully evaluated and sorted accordingly. Only the best quality leather moves forward for packaging or further customization.

In addition to physical inspection, technical tests may be conducted to assess color fastness, resistance to cracking, and durability under various stress conditions. Each hide is compared against customer specifications or industry benchmarks to ensure compliance. If needed, minor corrections such as re-ironing or light refinishing are performed. This meticulous process guarantees that the leather delivered is flawless, reliable, and ready for its intended use—whether in fashion, automotive, upholstery, or accessories.

This final stage not only reflects the craftsmanship behind the leather but also ensures peace of mind for customers who demand excellence and reliability from their leather suppliers.

Key highlights of the ironing process include:

  • Thorough inspection of each hide for color, thickness, and softness
  • Evaluation of grain, finish, and hand feel consistency
  • Testing for color fastness, durability, and cracking resistance
  • Adjustments or refinishing done if necessary to meet standards
  • Ensures every piece meets client requirements and market expectations
